CUT-OFF SAW

This cut-off saw was designed specifically to accurately cut coiled brake lining material to length. The system was designed to work automatically with the exception of an operator periodically removing the finished brake lining material and loading new coils.

Cut length can be easily adjusted through the keypad on the control panel. Movement of the saw assembly is guided and driven by a hydraulic cylinder for consistent results. All clamping is pneumatically driven for fast response. A servomotor accurately positions the drive’s feed rollers. An optical encoder is coupled to the main idling roller which in turn is driven by the material itself giving the system the advantage of real time cut length verification and out of material sensing.
