450-TON CURE PRESS (Prefill design)
Similar in operation to the standard cure press, the 450-Ton
Prefill Type Cure Press is designed to maximize opening and closing
speeds, while minimizing motor size.
The hydraulic tank is located on top of the press unit. During
the fast closing cycle, hydraulic oil is drawn into the press
cylinder by gravity, thus providing fast and efficient closing
speed. As the press cycle begins, the cylinder uses less power/time
to reach the desired tonnage with the help of the oil pressure
from the overhead tank. In the opening cycle, two jack cylinders,
mounted on each side of the press, retract to bring the oil back
to the tank.
