GRINDER/SLOTTER/CHAMFER

The grinder/slotter/chamfer is designed to perform all three grinding operations sequentially, if so desired. The material handling section consists of two reciprocating tables which carry the parts through the grinding wheels on part specific fixtures.

The first table is the loading station, which brings the part to the first operation fixture, on the main table.

After finishing the first grinding process, the part is lifted out of the first tooling nest at the end of the stroke, and placed in the second tooling nest when the carriage is in the retracted position. The parts move along each station in the same fashion.
