KNOCK OUT STATION
The knock-out station is designed to reduce labor associated
with the removal of brake pucks from the cure press molds. Parts
quality improves since pucks are pressed out of the mold rather
than manually hammered out. No additional hydraulic power unit
is required since the existing cure press or grinder supplies
power to the knock-out station’s hydraulic cylinders.
The operator manually places the mold into the knock-out station.
When the non-tie down button initiates the cycle, the knock out
unit automatically opens the mold and ejects all the pucks simultaneously.
The ejected pucks fall onto a conveyor, a ramp or a drawer, depending
upon the size and weight of the pucks and the customer’s requirement.
The pucks will then be transported to the operator for inspection
or directly into a container. When the cycle completes, the operator
removes the empty mold and the cycle begins again.
