75-TON STANDARD / DUAL LAYER PREFORM PRESS

Similar to the standard preform press, the dual layer preform press produces preform with two distinctive layers of material, the friction material and the backing material. The backing material provides better adhesion and reduces brake squeak.

The dual layer preform press has two additional auxiliary hopper assemblies, beside the main hopper, for backing material. Backing material will be laid down and prepressed first before adding in the friction material. The rest of the processes are identical to the standard preform press. Stacker is optional.

The dual layer preform can also function as a standard press preform press with a change in the press program.
