PREFORM PRESSES

The Preform press was designed to automatically weigh and preshape loose brake material into an accurately weighed and dimensionally stable "preform" for easy handling. The result creates less dust and material separation than conventional models.

75-Ton
Ideal for preshaping brake pads for disc brakes up to a maximum 7.5" (190.5mm). Applications include passenger vehicle, brake motors, ….etc.

150-Ton
Ideal for preshaping brake pads for disc brakes up to a maximum 11.5" (292mm). Applications include trucks, trains, heavy off road vehicles, planes,…etc.

• Screw type feeding system allows fast and accurate weighing without material separation
• Precision load cell allows accurate weighing to +/- .004 lbs. (+/- 2 grams), for 75-ton Prefrom and +/- .009 lbs (+/- 4 grams) for 150-ton Preform. (material dependent)
• Hardened ejector block and slide plate for long life
• Quiet running
• Extensive use of cartridge valves to provide fast cycle time and long life
• A generously sized oil reservoir to allow for a cooler running machine;
• Fast cycle time of 7 parts per minute (depends on material characteristics)
