Refurbished Grinder-Slotter-Chamfer.

The Slotter/Chamfer/Grinder machine is designed to replace the three single operation machines needed to slot, chamfer, and grind brake pads. It also replaces the slower multi-function reciprocating machines. Any of the three functions may be performed independently of the other operations. The chain conveyor speed is adjustable for finer cuts or greater production speeds.

This vertical surface grinder was specifically designed to grind the surface of brake pads. This machine will grind all loose brake pads as well as flat backed IM parts in a loose fixture. IM parts with protrusions on the plate will need individual fixtures for each brake part.

 

The Slotter/Chamfer machine is designed to chamfer compound and simple angles. This operation is accomplished using two chamfer wheels with angles as indicated in the specifications section.

The machine is designed to perform a maximum of 3 slots per brake pad. The conveyor speed is adjustable for finer cuts or greater production speeds.The machine is also semi-automatic. An operator must place the parts on the fixtures in the correct orientation. The fixtures are attached to a chain conveyor that will carry the parts through the cutting zone.
