The mixer uses four ploughs, specially designed to mix the material thoroughly and evenly. There are two end scrapers located in the mixing chamber to prevent material from building up at the ends and not mixing properly. The main shaft uses air purge seals to prevent dust from getting into the main seal.
There are two choppers located on the back of the mixer. Each chopper is equipped with blade type knives. The chopper shafts also use adjustable air purge seals that prevent the dust from leaking past the chopper shafts. Access doors and discharge doors are electrically interlocked for operator safety. |
