The mixer uses four ploughs, specially designed to mix the material thoroughly and evenly. There are two end scrapers located in the mixing chamber to prevent material from building up at the ends and not mixing properly. The ploughs are turned using a 25-hp motor through a timing belt driven gear reducer. There is a flex coupling which connects the gear reducer to the main shaft.

There are two choppers located on the back of the mixer. Each chopper is equipped with blade type knives and driven by 15 hp motors. The main shaft uses adjustable air purge seals to prevent dust from getting into the main seal. The chopper shafts also use adjustable air purge seals, which prevent dust from leaking past the chopper shafts. Access doors and discharge doors are electrically interlocked for operator safety.
